Description

Calacatta Viola marble is a precious natural stone characterised by a white background and distinctive violet coloured veins. The veining of the stone varies a lot from block to block. One may be with white “clouds” while the other may have long diagonal veins across the surface. The typical colour palette is white and violet, though it is common to have yellow-green impurities. Some Calacatta Viola blocks have red or almost black coloured veins. Characterised by elegance and refinement, this marble is used for bathrooms and kitchen tops, decorations and furniture, even jewellery and luxury facings.  Commonly used surfaces are polished and honed. Commonly used thickness is 20 mm, 30mm stone is available upon special request. Calacatta Viola is also known as Breccia Viola or Breccia Capraia. Marble is a sensitive material that can scratch and stain. It is necessary to impregnate marble worktops.
