AKEMI Rust Remover Marble

AKEMI Rust Remover Marble is a ready-to-use, water-based and slightly alkaline cleaning agent developed for removing superficial rust stains from acid-sensitive natural stone, engineered stone and concrete ashlar.

The product removes rust marks caused by ferrous substances and objects such as fertilisers, tools, fittings and iron components. It is especially suitable for polished marble and limestone surfaces that have already been installed or are ready for installation.

Unlike acidic rust removers, the formula is designed for acid-sensitive stone. It can be applied locally to affected areas, making it suitable for targeted stain removal without treating the entire surface. Converted rust can be removed thoroughly with clean water.

Rust Remover Marble is suitable for rough, fine-ground, ground, satin, bush-hammered, sandblasted, antique, sawn, polished and flamed surfaces. It can be used in kitchens, bathrooms, on floors, stairs, tables, window sills, walls, façades, terraces, gravestones and monuments.

The surfactants contained in the product are readily biodegradable according to OECD 301 F, as confirmed by an independent German testing institute. The product is intended exclusively for professional use.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Ensure that the surface is completely dry.
Always prepare a test area to assess the cleaning performance and any possible change in appearance or colour.
Apply the product undiluted and generously to the affected area.
Allow the product to work for approximately 5–10 minutes.
Do not allow the product to work for longer than 10 minutes.
Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
If necessary, support the cleaning process with a brush or scrubber.
Rinse the treated area thoroughly with clean water.
Repeat the procedure for stubborn superficial rust stains.
After successful cleaning, protect the stone with a suitable stone impregnation or stain-repellent treatment to help reduce moisture penetration and the formation of new rust stains.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

For professional use only.
Always test the product on a small and inconspicuous area before use.
The product removes superficial rust stains but cannot remove rust originating from within the stone.
Do not exceed the maximum working time of 10 minutes, as this may cause staining.
Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
Higher temperatures shorten and lower temperatures extend the working time.
A temporary violet discolouration may appear after treatment and usually disappears within one to two days.
Persistent violet discolouration can be removed with a 5% hydrogen peroxide solution.
Ensure adequate ventilation when using the product indoors.
Avoid direct contact with plants and rinse immediately with plenty of water if contact occurs.
Harmful if swallowed.
May cause an allergic skin reaction.
Avoid breathing mist, vapours or spray.
Wear suitable protective gloves, protective clothing and eye or face protection.
If swallowed, contact a poison centre or doctor if you feel unwell.
If the product contacts the skin, wash with plenty of water.
Seek medical advice if skin irritation or a rash occurs.
Store locked up and keep out of reach of children.
